Let’s see the recipe of moongdal Sambar
Ingredients
- Moongdal-1 cup
- Small onion-5 nos
- Tomato-1 small size
- Turmeric powder-1/4 tspn
- Salt-pinch
- Asafoetida-Pinch
Take a bowl add a cup of moongdal and wash twice or thrice.Take pressure cooker and add washed moongdal and add a glass of water allow to boil on high flame.After bubbles up add chopped small onion, Tomato, turmeric powder, salt, asafoetida.close lid and make 4-5 whistles.
Off the flame and wait for sometime then open the lid and see it will be cooked well.Then take a small pan for seasoning.
For seasoning heat a pan add oil, mustard,uraddal, cumin seed it will splutter then off the flame and transfer the seasoning to cooked moongdal and stir fully.
Moongdal sambar is ready.You can serve with idli, Aappam,rice for babies.
